I've been a Project Manager in the exhibit industry for over 35 years. It's a great industry to work in. The pace that we have to move at is very demanding. The production cycle time for a typical new construction project is usually about 4 to 6 weeks long, many times it's less than that. Because of the short lead times we are always looking for new manufacturing methods and products to help us meet those tight deadlines. We are asking ourselves, will this help us out or save us some time? That's how it all began.

 

A few years back I went into business for myself as a freelance Project Manager. I had a few companies that I did drawings for and it was steady enough to pay all the bills. It was a really great experience for me. It gave me the much-needed time to reflect on life and what I was doing. I wanted to do something to help the industry that I've worked for all these years. Slowly the ideas came. I came up with many variations of the now EZ Batten and detailed them in AutoCAD; I even made several 3D printed prototypes of my concepts. What we ended up with was a EZ Crating Batten and they are now available for purchase. As we develop more of our products we will be sure to let you know.
